CGSChicago.com is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the WEB Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. While CGSChicago.com strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. To ensure accessibility, we have taken the following actions to provide a website that is Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust:

  • We have adopted a web accessibility policy.

  • We have initiated training on web accessibility.

  • We have followed accessibility guidelines in creating and updating our website.

  • We review and update the site parameters often.

  • We have set the site language to: English.

  • We have added alt text to images.

  • Our site builder applies accessibility features and configurations including:

               1. keyboard semantics​

               2. defining ARIA attributes for provided elements

               3. visual indicators are enabled

               4. optimization for screen readers:

                   a) Windows + Firefox or Chrome: NVDA

                   b) Mac + Safari: Voiceover

                   c) Android + Chrome: Talkback

                   d) iOS + Safari: Voiceover

  • We have used heading tags for our text.

  • We have provided descriptive headings.

  • We have set color contrast rations to 4.5:1 and 3:1

  • We have used clear and legible fonts.

  • We have limited motion in elements.

  • We have limited parallax scrolling.

  • We have limited auto play features.

  • We have added captions/subtitles or a transcript to media, video, and audio.

  • We have made document files, PDF/Word, accessible.
